Description:Position is responsible for procuring materials and services in support of the Air Dominance programs. Also responsible for managing the performance of critical Bill of Material (BOM) procurements through The South East Material Acquisition Center (SEMAC) and potentially major subcontracts including the oversight of sub tier suppliers. Individual will be a Global Supply Chain representative supporting multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and/or Supplier Management Teams (SMTs). Individual will be responsible for:
Purchasing hardware and service requirements as required. This includes generating all required purchase order evaluations and documentation; negotiating with suppliers; and successfully completing required purchase order files.
Leading / participating in Supplier Management Teams (SMTs).
Interfacing on a regular basis with both internal customers, suppliers and procurement teams.
Work closely with technical operations, production operations, Quality, production control on hardware development and/or delivery of various operational hardware and test equipment.
Must be organized and able to work autonomously with reduced oversight.
Experience placing US government purchase orders.
Experience resolving complex hardware delivery issues
Experience in SAP or equivalent MRP systems
Good working knowledge of MRP processes
Demonstrated material handling skills
Knowledge of invoice payments processes
Supply chain experience
Experience with and knowledge of FAR/DFARS compliance requirements
Very good organizational skills
Proficient communication skills
Be willing to work in a team environment
Be familiar with lean six sigma processes and procedures
Candidate should be able to read and understand technical drawings and documents
Be capable of prioritizing heavy workloads efficiently
Have experience working with MRP databases
Experience placing Purchase Orders (PO's) greater than $25K within a government procurement system
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Experience with SAP
Green / Black Belt Certified
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) trained / certified
Experience working with suppliers in a development environment
Experience working with cross-functional teams, to specifically include design engineering, supplier quality and test engineering
