Buyer Planner / Purchaser

Determines the quantity and date materials are needed to comply with the master production schedule. Obtains materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. May involve international purchasing, freight and currency

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends suppliers and schedules deliveries.

  • Plans for and purchases materials, according to the master production schedule

  • Monitors and adjusts work in progress, schedules and delivery of finished goods to ensure schedule meets customer requirements. Involves interaction with customers, sales and production teams.

  • Ensures material availability through accurate inventory monitoring, purchasing and follow up to include outside suppliers

  • Supports the development and implementation of strategic production planning methodologies.

  • Analyze inventory values and system set up in reducing excess and obsolete inventory

  • Monitor forecasting system per supplier

  • Supplier development per Alfa Laval toolbox.

  • Monitor air freight costs

  • Monitor and communicate Product Supply Agreements (PSA)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities of the Successful Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business

  • 3 yrs. experience as a Planner/Buyer in a manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of Lean & MRP systems

  • Understanding of machine capacity and set ups

  • APICS (CPIM/CRIM) or ISM (CPM) certification preferred

  • Experience with MS Office Suite

  • Strong skills in

  • Time management

  • Attention to details

  • Written & verbal communications

This role has accountability for overseeing digital media planning and operations for North American campaigns and projects.Overseeing daily process and procedure, operations, budgeting and planning activities related to digital media plans in North America. * Establishing great relationships with the local marketing teams to drive local country media campaigns. * Maintaining a strong working relationship with the global media agency to ensure plans are operationalized on time and on budget. * Work closely with NA campaign, media and online marketing Managers to coordinate plans that can effectively be executed locally across the region. * Program manage the integration of cross-functional marketing areas such as campaign, media, agency, automation and production deliverables, budgets and timelines. * Ensuring that the planning, briefing, procuring, optimising and evaluating of all media campaigns is undertaken to a high standard and utilize best practices. * Working within a consistent media measurement, attribution and reporting framework globally. * Partnering with paid search, localisation, social and marketing operations teams to ensure delivery of seamless, integrated campaigns. * Developing assigned media plans aligned to our One Sage approach to audience targeting, budgeting and media mix modelling. BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred * 5+ years of experience in digital marketing and working on local multi-tiered media campaigns. * A proven ability of developing, implementing & executing media plans across North America * Passion for advertising and display industry developments and demonstrable experience of the latest innovations in media buying, data management, dynamic personalisation and targeting. * Analytically minded, with proven history of analysing country/product media campaigns through to conversion and revenue. * Ability to analyse all points of ad inventory - impressions, revenue, fill rates, as well as eCPMs in Real Time Bidding (RTB) environment. * Great communicator who can build strong relationships with stakeholders globally, think strategically, and positively influence business direction. * Exposure to media strategies to support ecommerce businesses. * Familiar with different types of targeting such as audience targeting, lookalike modelling, and search retargeting Sage North America Richmond VA
