In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • As a Buyer Planner in our Image Guided Therapy Business your will have the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic Supply Chain team and will be a key individual working with our supply base and production team to support a growing product line.

You are responsible for

  • Maintain the MPS schedule for the BU-Operations based on commercial/clinical/R&D demand, so that orders are delivered on time, inventory is controlled and production capacity is utilized in optimum fashion.

  • Work with Marketing, Manufacturing, Development and Purchasing to keep abreast of disruptions and changes to MPS-plan.

  • Plan and control inventory levels (incl. of maintenance parts where applicable).

  • Places orders with suppliers and monitors the outstanding orders in terms of delivery time, quality and price.

  • Negotiates operational issues with suppliers.

  • Research and resolve exceptions in purchase orders.

  • Responsible for inventory levels and inventory control.

  • Visits suppliers and initiates & support projects to improve performance.

  • Propose replenishment strategy and proper data setup.

  • Report operational issues internally for follow-up.

  • Create & maintain material master data for raw materials and Finish Goods SKUs.

Maintains appropriate level of raw material inventory for assigned products/materials. Follow-up, track and expedite deliveries as required. * Enters and maintains the integrity of Material Resource Planning (MRP) / Material Master Data * Develops Bills of Materials (BOM) in partnership with Process Science, Manufacturing and Quality * Works with cross functional teams including Project Management, Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics and our customers to develop and implement robust Supply Chain Management Plans * Identifies opportunities for inventory reduction and reduces waste/scrap * Participates in Project Team meetings to update the teams on all Supply Chain Management related topics * Coordinates efforts with Purchasing and/or Quality for resolution of supplier issues * Processes material returns, works with accounting to resolve payment issues, assists in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies * Monitors and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as outlined by the client or department * Communicates to management and the project teams significant material and/or supplier problems that may impact the supply chain. Resolves any discrepancies with quantity, delivery, cost and quality proactively and reactively. Plans and prioritizes deliveries. Coordinates with operations to expedite as required to support production. Requirements: * Requires a minimum of five (5) years buying/planning experience preferably in a pharmaceutical environment with a Bachelor's of Science degree * In lieu of five (5) years minimum experience, three (3) years direct experience may be considered with a Master's of Science degree. * Requires experience utilizing a MRP system (highly prefer SAP) to plan, order, cost, track materials * Must have experience utilizing Advanced Planning systems to plan, track and coordinate shipment of materials, API and product * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint strongly preferred * Ability to do complex analysis in Microsoft Excel is a must * Ability to develop and improve processes based Six Sigma or LEAN methodologies (certification a plus) strongly preferred * Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure is necessary to be successful in this role * Physical Demands / Surroundings – Works in an office setting under desirable conditions with few or no disagreeable features.
