This role will support the everyday functions of Purchasing for the Matica Biotechnology. These functions include managing the life cycle of the purchase requisition from selecting and purchasing quality products/materials, processing purchase orders, tracking orders, creating, and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management. This role will also help manage material demand, identify cost savings, manage key Accounts, review inventory, and maintain data for accounting audits.

How you will make an impact: Execute and follow the life cycle of the purchase requisitions in the ERP system, submit converted purchase orders to vendors, follow up on status of orders, receive and post invoices for completed orders. Manages material demand and communicates the need to expedite/ de-expedite POs as needed to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Identify and drive cost savings and look for opportunities to increase relationship with our strategic supply base. Conduct regular review of inventory to identify any expiry or obsolete risks and develop mitigation plans. Maintain data used to monitor the key performance indicators for supply chain.

Follow up on past due orders and partial shipments or damaged materials. Generate item numbers and maintain the item number tracking log. Support the evaluation of secondary suppliers for materials based on pricing and delivery times for the primary supplier.

Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels. Provide weekly report outs on the status of Purchase Orders and identify critical materials and establish stocking levels. Establish minimum and maximum stocking levels along with reorder points.

Perform other duties as assigned. Perform Accounts Payable process to support Finance in a backup capacity when required. As a future Matican you bring:

Education:

Minimum of High School Diploma or Community College degree Undergraduate degree in Business or similar degree preferred Experience: 2 years procurement or material/production planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment Skills: Computer software skills, organization, record keeping and planning skills, training skills, multiple projects, time management, facilitation skills Assure pragmatic problem solving is carried out with a strong sense of purpose and urgency and notify/make recommendations to Management regarding serious compliance or quality issues Experience using ERP system, MS Office Ability and experience performing, planning, and executing daily tasks in a high stress environment Qualities & Attitude: Detail oriented with excellent prioritization skills for multiple tasks Ability to work well collaboratively with others both intradepartmental as well as across functional departments within the company Ability to function well under stress and pressure Exhibits diplomacy and negotiation skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and team building and collaboration skills Has a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently, with the ability to coach others, and delegating as needed Competencies we look for:
