Position Summary:

Responsible for the procurement function of the department. Responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely ordering, receiving and controlling inventory for all pharmaceuticals and supplies used or issued by the Pharmacy department. Assists in the preparation, packaging, delivering and charging of medication orders, under the supervision of the pharmacist. Prepares and delivers IV sterile products. Involved with Pharmacy quality assurance activities and assists the pharmacists in performing various duties. Reports to Director of Pharmacy.

Position Qualification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

• Good organizational skills preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician licensure required.

• Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent IV experience required.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
