Buyer

BUYER / FULL TIME - PERMANENT POSITION

Reporting to the Purchasing Department, the person will assume the role of Buyer. As a Buyer, the selected person receives and processes purchase requisitions for goods or services from the various sectors of the company.

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Keep informed of general market conditions, participate in the search for alternative supply sources;
• Set up orders and ensure their deliveries in a timely manner;
• Settle disputes over costs, quantities or quality;
• Work closely with production to ensure orders will meet production needs in a timely manner;
• and Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Demonstrate a good capacity for analysis, synthesis, organization and problem solving;
• Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced environment;
• Have good interpersonal skills;
• Ability to act with integrity and professionalism;
• Demonstrate initiative, autonomy and good judgment; and
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in marketing, business, or a related field or 3-5 years experience in Purchasing.
• Masters degree in business or marketing considered an asset.
