Buyer

The Buyer will be involved in the procurement of materials and services including, but not limited to:

• Purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization

• Qualify vendors, evaluate bids, and negotiate prices/terms for purchased goods and services

• Tracking purchases and expediting as necessary

• Monitoring vendor quality and providing input to the supplier evaluation system

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

• US citizenship required due to ITAR regulations

• 1+ years of purchasing experience preferred

• Solid written and verbal (English) communication skills

• Knowledge of commonly used procurement concepts and practices

• Excellent organization skills

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Sage100 is preferred

• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
