Kdc/one is currently hiring at our Columbus, Ohio facility. As part of the kdc/one network, we are the leading best-in-class producer of beauty and personal care products! Our Columbus facility is accessible with an easy commute located on RT. 161/Beech Rd. in New Albany.

General Information:

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials or other goods and/or coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies. These duties are carried out while demonstrating competence in required areas and effectively applying technical and theoretical "know how" to job related tasks.

Pay: $55,000-60,000 depending on experience

What are we looking for?

• BA/BS in Business/Engineering or related studies with (3) to (5) years progressive experience.
• APICS & C.P.M. certifications a plus.

This position is responsible for:

• Reviews requisitions

• Interviews and confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule

• Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, and examining items

• Estimates values according to knowledge of market price

• Determines method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid

• Prepares purchase orders or bid requests

• Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contacts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority

• Maintains manual or computerize procurement records, such as items and services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories

• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods and services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action

• May approve invoices for payment

• May expedite delivery of goods to users

• Maintains up to date desk procedures

• Is up to date with all safety training requirements for his/her position.

• Other duties as assigned
