PEAK is an education resource provided to eligible caregivers in partnership with InStride, a global provider of enterprise education programs. Through PEAK, Intermountain offers tuition coverage for more than one hundred online learning options, including undergraduate studies, professional courses and certifications, high school diplomas, and English language learning. All courses included in PEAK are online.
Through PEAK, Intermountain will pay tuition up front so caregivers won't have to worry about paying with their own money and then receiving reimbursement later.
Overview
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1.Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required.
2.Knowledge of computer based automated purchase order entry system is preferred.
3.Proficiency with basic spreadsheet and word processing programs is preferred.
4.General purchasing contract knowledge.
5.Ability to effectively purchase perishables and non-perishables within the budget to manage waste or yield.
6.Ability to interface with external vendors and internal customers, have good telephone etiquette while reflecting SCL Healths values.
Scope
1.Processes requisitions for inventory and non-stock items, equipment, and service andinitiates order based on need of inventory.
2.Reviews Purchase Orders, and fax and(or) EDI over to vendors.
3.Monitors to ensure faxes and(or) EDIs transmit successfully and confirms expected ship dates.
4.Facilitates and processes product returns as needed. Monitors/investigates aging returns to determine issues, resolve and close.
5.Adheres to contract compliance by guiding volume to the best alternatives and preferred contracts.
6.Obtains appropriate substitute products for backordered or unavailable items.
7.Works closely with Accounts Payable to monitor and investigate open order reports/open invoice reports.
8.Works closely with the Care Sites and suppliers to investigate, determine cause, and resolve shipping discrepancies.
9.Ensures that deliveries meet health standards. Receive, put away, monitor and rotate inventory and stock. Maintains safe operating and cleanliness of storage rooms. Following Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Preferred
Two (2) years of food service purchasing or equivalent is preferred Two (2) years of HACCP experience is preferred
