Responsible for participating in decision making with management in the area of purchasing.
Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for buying assignments and/or management of commodities
Sources commodities and services. Identifies and implements strategies for cost savings through negotiation, process
improvement, item substitution, etc.
Identifies market trends pertaining to commodities being managed and sourced.
Develops and manages relationships with vendors and internal customers.
Prepares reports and analyses around suppliers and/or commodities managed.
Performs data quality checks and clean up of commodities
Leverages and utilizes internal tools for such activities as demand mgmt., spend mgmt., contract mgmt., etc
Requires a BA/BS; 3 years of experience in procurement, finance, or analysis; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Additional education or professional certification preferred.
