SUMMARY:

The role of the Buyer II will be vital in the processing and managing of purchase orders, vendor relationship, and take on project duties related to purchasing. This position will drive high service, improve OTD, control inventory levels, and improve costs. The Buyer II will also help guide the department in developing best practices to ensure that Purchase orders are done timely, accurately and hold vendors accountable for confirmations and lead times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and process Purchase Order Suggestions from the ERP to ensure all materials are ordered timely and accurately.

• Utilize the ERP's Buyer Workbench to manage orders that require change, expediting, or cancellations.

• Maintain current promised dates on purchase orders to give critical visibility to other departments.

• Help manage min max levels of purchased parts to minimize parts outage for Production.

• Solve inventory and supply chain issues for critical components and shortages that will affect monthly revenue goals.

• Work collaboratively with Planners to help expedite outside process operations.

• Manage purchase orders to help the company maintain sustainable inventory levels for production as well as cash flow.

• Help lead initiatives to reduce purchase prices through negotiations or developing new vendors.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams on critical projects.

• Carrie out supplier research, evaluation & selection to continually strengthen our supply base.

• Achieve KPI targets to improve procurement and sourcing department.

• Manage supplier relationships, build stronger understanding of processes, forecast, and supplier capabilities.

• Other duties as assigned outside of the scope of Purchasing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Buyer working in a high-volume, highly dynamic rapid paced environment.

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to work with team members and suppliers.

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate.

• Fluent in English and Spanish

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages
