Buyer

About the Role: We are seeking a Buyer to join our team in Pasadena, TX.

The Buyer will be responsible for procuring materials, coordinating purchasing activities, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This is an onsite position with shift hours from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Responsibilities: Procure materials and coordinate purchasing activities for the establishment Communicate with vendors to obtain product information, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules Select products for purchase based on specified cost, quality, and delivery targets Support purchasing function and other departments, communicating any supply problems Act as an interface between suppliers and relevant departments on purchasing processes Monitor and advise on issues that may impact the organization Provide cost analysis, review cost reduction activities, and identify opportunities for business improvements Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms with suppliers, and identify opportunities for cost savings Prepare and raise purchase orders, reports, and updates as needed Track purchase orders, ensure ERP system has updated delivery information Resolve discrepancies in invoices and purchase orders Support company goals, participate in cross-functional teams for process improvements Work with Maintenance for vendor consultations and serve as Intelex resource as needed Maintain material codes, create and maintain Info Records and Source Lists Demonstrate critical thinking, negotiation skills, integrity, and eagerness to learn and develop Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field Required Skill: Monitor and advise on organizational risks and opportunities Ability to complete duties within allotted timeframes and meet deadlines ERP skills, preferably Oracle Materials Management Critical thinking and negotiation skills If you are a motivated individual with a strong attention to detail and a desire to contribute to a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply for the Buyer position.
