The Buyer is responsible for purchasing medical and non-medical supplies, equipment and purchased services to support hospital operations. Performs a variety of duties including inventory management, sourcing, invoice/purchase order discrepancies, contract price review and other duties as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Purchasing- places, tracks, and ensures timely delivery of procured items and services

• Inventory Management- monitors and maintains approved minimum and maximum inventory levels as part of the overall organizational inventory strategy

• Storeroom/Receiving Coordination- accurately communicates and acts as a liaison between functions

• Accounts Payable- align and ensure accurate and efficient procure-to-pay processes

• Sourcing- identifies, qualifies, obtains quotes, negotiates quantities and pricing from potential vendors

Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum Associates Degree. 2 years of Healthcare Purchasing experience may be substituted for an associate's degree.

• 2 years of purchasing experience, Healthcare preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Workday ERP experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Computer use, phone use, sitting, standing, walking, may require lifting and carrying light loads.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Onsite - 101 Dates Drive Ithaca NY

Compensation Disclosure:

• $28.85 to $38.46 per hour
