Job Summary

The Position will be responsible for coordinating and managing the Spare Parts Logistics Procurement and Quality Analysis program for Teradata. The candidate will manage and improve the current processes for our quality program as well as increase cost savings, on time percentages as well as reducing lead times for spare parts. This position works within Teradata with many organizations as well as other companies. The position will be physically based out of Teradata's Lexington, SC facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create track and manage purchase orders for parts

  • Cost Basis Negotiation: understand market activities that drives IT pricing (Memory, Drives, sheet metal).

  • Facilitate, in conjunction with Supplier, new sourcing opportunities for parts

  • Problem solve issues to reach resolution, while working with multiple organizations

  • Provide Quality reporting and analysis monthly to organization.

  • Develop and report Spare Parts monthly reporting

  • Daily use of Oracle ERP system to track and manage part issues

  • Work with the supply base to reduce quality issues.

  • Research best practices, document, and deploy standard Teradata supply chain tools, processes and metrics

  • Provide data and thorough project recommendations to all management to support strategic decision-making

  • Implement Business Objects reporting updates for the Quality program

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business/mathematics, Finance, Accounting, , operations management (emphasis in Procurement or Supply Chain Management).

  • Oracle 11-12 ERP Experience

  • 1-2 years Procurement/Finance/Accounting/Pricing experience.

  • Power user of Excel

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company, both written and oral capabilities

  • Experience in continual business process improvements

  • Ability to directly influence and lead cross-BU and/or cross-functional teams, including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or with outside professionals

  • Data Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data mining and Statistical analysis techniques

  • 1-2 yrs. of Oracle ERP Experience

  • 3-5 or more years Procurement or supply chain experience

  • Daily use and extensive understanding of Excel during current work experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company: both written and oral capabilities

  • Experience in continual business process improvements

  • Ability to directly influence and lead cross-BU and/or cross-functional teams, including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or with outside professionals

Job Description The Senior Business Systems Analyst is the key liaison between a high-profile client and the Merkle Technology Teams. This is a highly visible position, as the Senior Business Analyst elicits and drives requirements and initiatives at multiple levels of detail for a Merkle client(s). The Senior Business Systems Analyst should have a strong attention to detail and is entrusted with accurately documenting requirements and acceptance criteria for a project. Key Responsibilities * Interface with the client and multi-disciplinary teams within Merkle (Business Intelligence, Information Technology, Database and Data Warehouse Developers, Project Managers) to support the solution delivery process * Synthesize complex and contradictory information into concise, readable, unambiguous written requirements at multiple levels of detail * Take primary ownership for written requirements specifications, from initial creation, through change management and solution delivery * Take direction from Project Management regarding schedule, scope, and cost trade-offs * Assist with the delivery of the system into production by designing and supporting the formal client acceptance process, according to Merkle's defined standards * Accurately document requirements and acceptance criteria for Merkle-Marketing solutions * Perform analysis of new data for inclusion in a marketing database using SQL, and ad-hoc analysis of data in the database to support the requirements process Qualifications * Qualified individuals possess the Merkle attributes of being smart, curious, committed to vision, passionate, fun/pleasant, an achiever and having a sense of urgency. * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field * 3+ years experience with writing detailed requirements specifications for IT solution delivery with a significant database component or database focus - consisting of at least 100 distinct enumerated requirements * 3+ years experience as a business requirements analyst with full life cycle software implementations (SDLC) involving large databases * Experience with test planning and use cases * Skilled with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio * Strong SQL experience to conduct much data analysis, research and queries.
