Position Overview

Responsible for the procurement of products and services required to assure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. With the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, and Senior Buyer, determine correct parts that are included in inbound and outbound shipments. Assist finance with receiving and inventory discrepancies and assist in determining corrective actions. Responsible for transacting all inventory adjustments in the ERP system. Must have keen attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Experience with domestic fabrication procurement (sheet metal, machined, special processed, molded component).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Purchase raw materials and services

• Issue Purchase Orders

• Identify component needs for all new and ongoing projects ensuring that customer requirements and specifications are met.

• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations for material pricing and services.

• Determine and establish delivery dates to meet production schedule requirements.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required:

• Bachelor?s Degree or 3 years work experience.

Preferred:

• Experience with MRP or ERP systems

• Experience working in the aerospace industry
