LOCATION: Mount Vernon, OH, USA

Are you an experienced procurement professional looking to grow your career with an amazing company? Ariel is looking for a Buyer to join our team. In this position, you would be responsible for supporting the procurement & purchasing process of raw materials and finished goods by working with both internal and external customers. Working with the Supply Chain team, you would evaluate, plan, and source production inventory to meet Ariel's master production schedule. Additionally, you would build and maintain relationships with vendors, and negotiate pricing. Finally, you would be working within SAP to routinely review and reconcile resource planning to adequately support production needs. Experience within the manufacturing industry and dealing with the purchase of steel and castings within the metals market is strongly desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Management, or related field of study required

• 5+ years of material management experience required, with APICS certification preferred

• Knowledge of procurement and inventory management principles required

• Advanced computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office programs required

• Previous experience purchasing steel or castings in the metals market preferred

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of data analysis tools and reporting preferred

• Experience utilizing ERP systems required; experience within SAP PLM, MM, and SD preferred

• Strong ability to foster business relationships with internal and external customers
