Ameron Pole Productions is searching for a buyer for our Anniston, AL operations. In this role you will develop and maintain a sourcing, Issue purchase orders, assist in managing supplier quality program and assist in evaluating viable alternative components or suppliers. We focus on gaining long-term client commitment by providing top-quality product and unparalleled customer service.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain strategic sourcing plan, continuously evaluate and improve supply chain sources.
• Issue and maintain purchase orders
• Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in manager purchase orders.
• Assist engineering in evaluating viable alternative components or suppliers.
• Ensure inventory items are available to meet production schedule
• Request quotes from suppliers.
• Strategically negotiate pricing and supplier agreements
• Manage inventory forecasting and stock levels.
• Work under the general direction of the plant operations manager or business unit management.
• Comply with safety rules and procedures
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
• Manage a small team of Direct Reports within the Plant.

What you'll need:

• High School Diploma is required Associates or BA preferred.
• 1-3 years of Supervisor experience is required
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience negotiating and developing strategic supplier agreements.
• Experience with import logistics.
• 5 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain logistics.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/MRP systems preferred
• Experience with sourcing gearing, bearing, motors, casting and other industrial components.
