You will be Providing procurement activities to support world class customer satisfaction for the Electrification Products
Professionals ( > 2 years of work experience)
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Order material to support operations while simultaneously minimizes working capital.
Follow actions assigned to assure correctness and viability of recommendations to purchase.
Work on cost and inventory reduction projects.
Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action to improve operational efficiencies.
Expedite overdue material and determine the root cause of problems and coordinate corrective actions.
Maintain material availability status per job.
Help maintain MRP planning parameters for purchased items.
Support supply chain coordination efforts in managing supplier issues arising from expediting, cancellation, or push-out activities.
Interface with internal design and/or manufacturing engineering personnel on any purchased material issues.
Work with suppliers to resolve daily discrepancies in quality, quantity, invoice issues and delivery performance.
Support for the Materials and Strategic Sourcing Team.
Negotiate piece part contract pricing with suppliers in support of published cost reduction efforts.
Support for the Field Service Team with Procurement of materials for job specific requirements.
Supports MRO Procurement activities for all Service centers.
Support strategic initiatives to improve over- all supplier performance.
Work at all times within the standards contained in the ABB "Code of Business Ethics and Conduct."
Bachelor's Degree in a commercial business or purchasing and minimum five (5) years of experience as buyer.
Related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills are necessary to work effectively within the organization and with suppliers.
Requires the ability to work effectively in teams.
PC skills including working knowledge of ERP systems, Excel, Word, Microsoft Access.
SAP experience preferred.
