UW Medicine Pathology provides clinical services in all areas of Pathology, providing diagnostic procedures and analysis for more than 80,000 cases a year. We provide comprehensive diagnostic and personalized consultative services to physicians, community hospitals, independent laboratories and other health-care organizations, by combining sophisticated testing and informatics capabilities of fully accredited laboratories with the resources of an academic and teaching institution in its delivery of Pathology services.
UW Medicine Pathology has an outstanding opportunity for a Business/Operations Analyst. This individual will provide project management for various training, systems, and process development & improvement initiatives within Pathology; serve as primary point of contact for Pathology department reporting efforts to support both institutional and Pathology business needs; and provide business analysis in support of Pathology projects.
Bachelor's degree in Science AND four to five years of experience in program support and/or business operations. Work or training in Pathology specifically to understand workflow of a specimen through our system from input of accession to output of charges and final report and to understand operations of Pathology as a system. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
Ability to track work independently to coordinate work efforts and deliverables.
Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence others to work within the parameters of a plan and meet deadlines.
Experience working with users to identify reporting needs and identifying potential solutions.
Proactive, creative, and efficient problem solver in ambiguous and fluid situations.
