The Business Unit Leader supports the manufacturing operations and is responsible for Safety, Quality and Production requirements on assigned packaging lines within the Atlanta-Main plant to include personnel, planning, budget, and execution.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment across the entire plant

  • Drive engagement and ownership among all hourly associates; mentor and ensure collaboration across plant departments

  • Drive Plant ESPACE metric to glide path:

  • Meet or exceed all plant and company metric goals for Safety, Quality, Production and Equipment effectiveness

  • Drive technical improvements and maintenance upgrades

  • Support and reinforce the implementation of Continuous Improvement Process and drive WCO initiatives to deliver measurable and sustainable improvements

  • As a member of the plant Leadership team, support the strategic leadership journey map plans

  • All other duties assigned by the manager

Position requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • 3 years of experience in a plant manufacturing environment

  • 2 years of experience in leadership role managing processes and people

  • Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • 5 years of experience in a plant manufacturing environment

  • 3 years of experience in leadership role managing processes and people

  • Ability to be adaptable

  • Technical and budget planning knowledge

  • Must have ability to plan and organize work independently and work with minimum supervision

  • SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office and LEDs experience

  • Effective leadership and people skills

  • Must have good written, listening, and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of organization

  • Must be able to work with a cross-function of Plant Operators, Mechanics, Technicians, Process, Distribution, Engineers other corporate personnel, and outside resources to deliver results

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Market Leader will formulate and execute Strategic Market Growth Plan to exceed Company Growth objectives for Sunbelt Rentals Flooring Solutions in designated cluster market(s). Position Responsibilities: * • Safety: Lead the Safety Culture and ensure compliance with all company safety protocols. * • Strategy: Formulate and execute Strategic Market Growth Plan which will include identifying target market segments, expanding location footprint, and expanding sales team coverage. * • Power of Sunbelt: Bridge the Flooring Solutions strategy within the marketplace across General Tool and all Specialties. * • Operations: Manage Flooring Solutions Profit Center Managers in designated markets. * • Operations: Responsible for multiple Profit Center P&L's and leadership of tactical operations plan to optimize fleet plan and improve operational efficiency. * • Sales: Formulate and execute tactical sales plan to penetrate the identified market segments. Directly lead and manage the sales team to exceed revenue targets. * • Brand Marketing: Represent and champion the Flooring Solutions brand both internally and externally. Leverage the Power of Sunbelt by building and maintaining strong relationships across all Sunbelt divisions. Requirements: Education & Experience: * • (8) + years of Rental Industry experience that includes previous store/location management * • (5) + years of experience as a Profit Center Manager * • (1) + year experience as a direct sales person or sales leader * • Strategic Planning * • Sales Development and Sales Management * • Time management * • People Management * • Strong communication skills * • Working computer knowledge * • Solid financial knowledge * • Presentation Skills * • Project Management Experience Physical Demands: Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
