Business Unit Leader

Responsible for managing work group of hourly employees in a fast paced, high volume, unionized, manufacturing environment. Responsible for ensuring safety, quality; cost; and delivery during the shift.

The selected candidate will be required to build functional teams, train and allocate manpower according to need, ensure team morale and drive continuous improvement solutions to improve product quality and reach throughput and cost targets. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members. Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing. Good working knowledge of Outlook Suite software programs.

Preferred: 1 or more years’ experience in supervision in a high-volume environment preferred. Previous experience working in a union environment is preferred.
