RSM's Management Consulting practice provides strategy, advisory, and project and change management services to help clients achieve their business objectives. As a manager in this practice, you will work with clients to understand their industry, business strategy and goals and help to develop and execute strategic plans to drive business change. You will work with businesses in diverse industries while managing staff to deliver projects on time, on budget and in line with client expectations. Working on numerous projects per year, you will not only work on delivering the projects and developing the staff, but also identify new opportunities to expand new business at the client. Effective communication, critical thinking and the ability to develop and foster strong working relationships will be core to your role as a key client lead.


  • Provide mentoring and motivate diverse client engagement teams by delivering constructive on-the-job coaching to team members, while fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment

  • Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes

  • Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.

  • Demonstrate in-depth industry, process or technical capabilities and professional knowledge

  • Develop new products, service offerings and deliverables for the rapidly changing business environment

  • Maintain long-term client relationships and networks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business

  • 7-10+ years of experience either in consulting or in an industry management role

  • 2 yrs experience leading and managing project teams

  • Understanding of business process including lead to cash, procure to pay, inventory or other

  • Understanding of accounting and management reporting

  • Understanding of enterprise systems and capabilities including CRM, ERP, BI, CPM

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)

  • MBA a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on at least one full life cycle implementation

  • A proven resource in defining operational strategy and driving change

  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff

  • Eagerness to assist in building out a growing practice including developing and implementing internal processes and procedures

  • Committed to gaining exposure to multiple industries

  • Ability to collaborate with clients and other RSM practice areas

The Business Transformation Manager will work with Field Operation leaders to execute on a wide variety of improvement projects aimed at achieving the business's strategic and financial objectives. They will leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify areas of opportunity, develop solutions and then drive full execution across the business. This position may be asked to drive business transformation efforts across one or more of our business units. * Lead various types of business transformation initiatives including but not limited to VLSS Process Improvement and Design projects. * Provide active leadership on key projects designed to increase revenue, reduce expenses, and improve customer experience. * Facilitate team meetings, cross-functional workshops and VLSS work-outs. * Act as an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques. * Provide management with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks. * Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation/record keeping. * Support others by providing just in time coaching on business transformation methodologies and tools. * Be a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Six or more years of relevant work experience. * Experience creating, developing and presenting Senior Executive Reviews, Project Overviews, and Operational Reviews to all levels of an organization. * Willingness to travel. * Valid driver's license. Even better if you have: * MBA. * Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. * Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures. * Experience in managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget. * Quantitative and analytical skills. * A focus on process and the customer experience. * Knowledge of performance and trusted professional credibility. * Experienced leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience. * Comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees. * Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward. * Experience in handling confidential information appropriately.
