RSM's Management Consulting practice provides strategy, advisory, and project and change management services to help clients achieve their business objectives. As a manager in this practice, you will work with clients to understand their industry, business strategy and goals and help to develop and execute strategic plans to drive business change. You will work with businesses in diverse industries while managing staff to deliver projects on time, on budget and in line with client expectations. Working on numerous projects per year, you will not only work on delivering the projects and developing the staff, but also identify new opportunities to expand new business at the client. Effective communication, critical thinking and the ability to develop and foster strong working relationships will be core to your role as a key client lead.
Provide mentoring and motivate diverse client engagement teams by delivering constructive on-the-job coaching to team members, while fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
Drive high-quality work within expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure clients are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services. Strive to assist our clients uncover additional areas of opportunity and manage the business development process.
Demonstrate in-depth industry, process or technical capabilities and professional knowledge
Develop new products, service offerings and deliverables for the rapidly changing business environment
Maintain long-term client relationships and networks
Bachelor's degree in business
7-10+ years of experience either in consulting or in an industry management role
2 yrs experience leading and managing project teams
Understanding of business process including lead to cash, procure to pay, inventory or other
Understanding of accounting and management reporting
Understanding of enterprise systems and capabilities including CRM, ERP, BI, CPM
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
MBA a plus
Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on at least one full life cycle implementation
A proven resource in defining operational strategy and driving change
Eagerness to mentor junior staff
Eagerness to assist in building out a growing practice including developing and implementing internal processes and procedures
Committed to gaining exposure to multiple industries
Ability to collaborate with clients and other RSM practice areas
