Business Systems Analyst Position Summary:

The Business System Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and communicating application requirements in response to continuous business process improvement and corporate strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills in addition to knowledge of analytical or database software.

Business Systems Analyst Position Responsibilities: Essential

  • Analyze and document business processes.

  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team.

  • Analyze and communicate stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements.

  • Document and evaluate required data and information.

  • Using business process modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through OBHG to enhance project success.

  • Consult with management and users to determine the needs of the system.

  • Specify inputs and formatting outputs to meet users' needs.

  • Perform structured analysis or create models that ensure the solution is efficient, cost-effective and financially feasible.

  • Develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow.

  • Develop testing plan and test scripts.

  • Oversee implementation, coordinate testing and observe initiation of the system to validate performance.

  • Assist with Testing as needed.

  • Make recommendations for solutions or improvements to OBHG Applications

Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education

  • Clear understanding of the System Development Life Cycle

  • Basic project management skills and understanding of project management lifecycle

  • Experience with gathering, defining and documenting user requirements

  • Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Strong analytical skills and overall business acumen.

  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills as well as strong negotiation skills

  • A positive "can do" attitude. A self-starter who is proactive in solving problems and getting results.

  • Change agent with the ability to look for new ways to improve the business.

  • Highly creative. Will bring new ideas to the organization.

  • A collaborative "team player" who has strong relationship building skills. Must be able to relate well to individuals at various levels.

  • Highly ethical and trustworthy, unwavering integrity.

Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education

  • 4 year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 year experience with Revenue Cycle or HRMS software

Mental and Physical Demands (per ADA guidelines)

Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time. Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)

Travel Demands: minimal

Annual Compensation Range : $80,000 - $100,000 (full-time, salary, exempt position)
