Summary of Internship:

The Business Systems Analyst Intern will learn about Oracle applications, helping to devise creative solutions and innovative ideas that address current business challenges facing the Finance function. The intern can expect to collaborate across teams that work within the Oracle Functional delivery team.

Essential Functions:

  • Defining and analyzing systems solutions to business objectives.

  • Interact directly with team members to gather business needs, input and output requirements and evaluate process and procedures.

  • Create workflows, process maps, and summaries to document processes, procedures, and possible solutions.

  • Seek opportunities for improving business processes through systems and/or non-system changes.

  • Validate results by quality assurance testing and the coordination of user-acceptance testing.

  • Train end-users and craft documentation for user training on Oracle business processes and system usage.

  • Create business and functional requirement documents.

  • Solve integration issues by leveraging the knowledge of required attributes.

  • Use Service Now to track and report on support tickets.

  • Apply Jira to track and test enhancements/issues/bugs and create test data in Oracle to check functionality.

  • Day-to-day business support.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Self-learner and motivated


  • Currently an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance or Accounting focus preferred), Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

The BI intern will contribute to reporting and analytical BI projects, developing reporting and analytical dashboards to provide visibility into Key Performance Indicators to help drive root cause and counter measures.</p><p>The position starts in May or June, paid working 40 hours per week through August.
