This role partners with business unit stakeholders and technical staff to identify business systems solutions for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. Considered the top business analyst expert within a major application supporting multiple business units, performing tasks of the most complex nature required to:

  • Document business requirements

  • Partner with technical services groups (internal MIS and/or external vendors) to design technical solution to meet the business requirements

  • Configure application-enabled business systems

  • Construct test cases, develop test scripts and facilitate appropriate testing (unit, integration, system, QA, UAT)

  • Validate production implementation

  • Assist with end-user training

  • Maintain accurate system and System Development LifeCycle documentation

  • Act as a project manager for initiatives, identifying tasks, preparation of estimates, and development of work plans

  • Act as a mentor for less experienced team members and train fellow business systems analysts

  • Organize and oversee team testing methodology for test scripts and appropriate full-cycle testing (unit, integration, system, and QA)

  • Organize and ensure accurate updating of team system and process documentation

  • Validate production implementation and provide change control approvals

  • Lead collaboration with business units to establish priorities for resolution of multiple system problems and issues

  • Lead UMB Business and Technology Strategies to evaluate technology opportunities to enhance operations

  • Act as system liaison between UMB users of business application systems and the technical services group(internal MIS and/or external vendors) responsible for support

  • Other duties as assigned.

VIEW JOBS 1/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-16T00:00 Job Summary: Provides high quality customer support and project coordination during onboarding and maintenance activities for the largest customers with complex FRS electronic access (EA) connections where hardware, middleware, and appropriate internal configuration settings are required to access the FRS network. Serves as customer liaison for internal resources to ensure successful deployment and ongoing operation of electronic access via the specified channels, and coordinates the related activities and projects for the customers they support. Key Activities: * Maintains documentation and audit trails of customer interactions and issues in prescribed systems. * Provides support to customers in processing electronic access server credential requests and assisting with ordering and coordinating the installation of network infrastructure components, problem resolution, and coordinating testing and production cutover activities. * Serves as liaison with business areas and other support areas to ensure that customers' electronic connection needs are addressed. * Utilizes a variety of automated customer support, troubleshooting and change request tools. * Completes ad hoc projects supporting both local and System initiatives. * Supports customer requests for moves, adds, and modifications to existing hardware and connections. * Maintains in-depth understanding of customer connections and functionality of the channels. Assists customers in the creation and installation of network and application definitions as well as ordering and installing server certificates. * Researches and resolves external customer problems associated with supported electronic access channels. * Coordinates production, contingency, and application upgrade testing for customer connections. * Maintains knowledge and provides guidance to customers to ensure they receive support in the setup of middleware. * Assumes lead responsibilities in the execution of ad-hoc projects. * Makes recommendations for procedure and documentation updates. Qualifications: * High School level command of English, spelling, grammar and math. * Associate's degree in a Business or Technology related field or equivalent combination of education and/or directly related work experience. * One to two years directly related work experience. * Exemplary customer service skills. * Demonstrated attention to detail. * Demonstrated analytical, organizational and problem solving skills as well as ability to manage projects over a long period of time. * Aptitude to understand technical concepts and their business implications. * Ability to explore atypical circumstances and develop theories to assist in remediating them. * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. * Demonstrated ability to understand and apply standard operating policies and procedures and to follow procedures in a highly controlled environment with high productivity and quality. This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed. You can begin work before the screening is completed; however, continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results.
