Provides "Energy Efficiency Collaboration Platform" (EECP)* computer software system-based solutions and project support for Customer Programs & Assistance Projects. This support includes report and dashboard configuration, strategic data-mining, and statistical analysis with an objective of optimizing of program delivery and operations.
The candidate must work closely with their business clients to understand their requests, define business requirements and make recommendations concerning technology, data analytic and reporting solutions. Analyst works with Customer Programs Operations Technology, Customer Services CST, COT, and the Information Technology Systems Staff to provide client support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes routine issues/problems/data and recommends potential solutions.
Interprets business needs, translates them into requirements, and implements solutions to meet project objectives.
Serves as a coordinator or administrator of activities. - Possess specialized business and/or systems knowledge (e.g. revenue cycle, field services, customer programs or technology expertise.)
Works with clients/customers to identify & document their needs.
Builds software system-based dashboards and reports; compiles, analyzes and prepares data for various internal evaluations and external CPUC reports, often with short turnaround timeframes.
This includes supporting regulatory data requests, data analysis, program support forecasts, and reports and dashboards on the EECP software system server.
Provides support to several teams within the Customer Programs organization, including the Operations Strategy, EE Program Operations, EE software, and EM&V teams.
Successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, information systems, Statistics, Engineering or Business Administration is required.
Master's degree in Statistics highly desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Report Builder 3.0 and Visual Studio.
Excel and SQL skills required. Role will create reports and dashboards utilizing Report Builder 3.0 to query the EECP SQL Server database.
Working knowledge of SAP, SAS, Business Warehouse and web analytics software preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate and present (verbal and written) technical information in a clear and concise manner to both a technical and non-technical audience.
Must have the ability to identify issues, analyze data, develop, recommend, and implement solutions.
Must possess initiative, decision-making skills and problem-solving skills.
A demonstrated ability to understand the business needs in order to effectively apply new technologies and complete complex systems projects.
Experience with the Microsoft desktop applications, mainframe or client server programming experience, SAP enterprise systems, data warehouse or Internet experience is a plus.
The EECP software system manages and supports program management workflow, processes, vendor management, invoicing and reporting support for SoCalGas' Energy Efficiency programs.
1-3 years - related experience is required.
