About the team
FIS Code Connect is an API gateway, which provides one-stop access to all APIs across FIS and its Partners. It provides a central access point for FIS to expose and manage all FIS solutions through APIs. The development team is responsible for developing financial services API's, delivering a world-class digital experience, and engineering a highly scalable, high performance and robust platform architecture.
What you will be doing
This is an exciting opportunity for a business systems analyst who likes to contribute new ideas and is willing to put in the work to build their career. Development teams are focused on collaboration using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology with emphasis on producing quality products and speed to market.
You will perform research and analysis to support business operations and present findings to your team
You will work closely with product experts to understand requirements
You will be responsible for your own time management for both estimating effort and completing your work within budget
You will attend and actively participate in daily standup meetings with your scrum team managed by your scrum master
You may train internal employees on changes to business practices, processes or procedures.
What you bring:
4 or more years of business systems analysis experience
An understanding of the software development lifecycle
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills
Positive outlook, strong work ethic, willingness to learn and grow
Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics, and identifies improvement opportunities
Calculates/estimates costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/ROI
May mentor, guide, advise and/or check the work of less experienced business systems analysts.
Added bonus if you have:
Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
Knowledge of the Agile development methodology
Experience with software analysis and requirements gathering
Writes test plans and test cases to ensure changes which are made to the application meet client needs and the application integrity is maintained.
Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness and acceptance tests. Ensures changes made by technicians are correct.
Trains internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems or new procedures. Conducts one-on-one or classroom training depending upon the size or desire of the audience.
