Business Systems Analyst - Finance & Accounting

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting Finance functions, working in Workday Financials, Coupa, Anaplan, and other integrated financial tools. You will serve as the primary contact for improvement, support, training and issue resolution for our Finance & Accounting team. You will work closely with business users and cross-functional teams on various systems initiatives. In addition, you will manage end-to-end life cycle for these initiatives including requirements analysis, design, configuration and testing while also making recommendations to improve financial systems and business processes. You will help document current processes projects to help the IT org continue to grow and improve.

You will partner and collaborate with various teams within Slack: Accounting, Finance, Sales Finance, PMO, other IT groups (developers, etc.). You will have the ability to touch a lot of different tools and work on different projects at our fast growing exciting company. Will get to see your contributions & hard work immediately realized by business partners and the company as a whole.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Finance business partners to understand the project roadmap and current challenges, and participate in providing and implementing solutions using both existing technology and new tools.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to document and re-engineer current processes for finance and accounting systems, continuously identifying gaps and opportunities for automation.

  • Work with external vendors and product support teams to troubleshoot systems issues as they arise.

  • Craft business requirements documents, tech specs, functional designs, test scripts, test plans, and training materials.

  • Provide end-user support, training, and administration of our Finance applications.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience managing and supporting Accounting & Finance applications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, or related field.

  • Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical and functional specifications.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills along with ability to effectively communicate across cross-functional teams, development resources and external vendors.

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a hyper growth environment work environment.

  • Preferred: Experience implementing and customizing financial applications through full system implementation life-cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).

  • Preferred: Integration experience with one or more SaaS applications like Workday, NetSuite, Anaplan, Coupa, Concur, Xactly, Stripe.
