Description

Reporting to the Manager of IT Business Solutions, the Business Systems Analyst's primary responsibility is to partner with the business to develop solutions to continue to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes throughout the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements through regular and effective communication with internal clients

• Analyze problems and identify necessary changes to processes, procedures and systems

• Develop system design and functional specification documentation to ensure clear definition of requirements

• Coordinate development of solutions using internal and external development teams

• Review code and develop enhancements and bug fixes as needed

• Create testing plans and work with internal clients to ensure thorough testing

• Train users on proper use of systems including common errors and resolutions

• Provide second tier support of existing manufacturing and ERP software systems

• Retrieve data, using SQL and reporting tools, in order to help understand and develop solutions to business problems

• Lead multiple IT software and hardware projects

• Quickly analyze issues and risks and escalate to decision makers

• Support the company's ERP system to ensure sales, finance, operational and supply chain-related functions are strongly supported

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional associations

• Ensure that required competencies to carry out these job functions affecting product legality, safety and quality are met in accordance with the Quality Policy and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard

• Ensure compliance with corporate/plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company's Good Manufacturing Practices

• Ability to travel between Wisconsin and California based on business needs

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field.

• 3 years of IT experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with ERP systems required, Ross ERP or QAD preferred

• Strong understanding of database technologies, Oracle and SQL Server experience preferred

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated a sense of urgency and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated record of accomplishments supporting company growth and profitability strongly preferred

Physical Activity:

• Regularly sit, stand, walk, and move about.

• Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, reach overhead, climb, squat, bend, and kneel.

Additional Compensation - Annual Cash Bonus: You will be eligible to participate in the Gehl Foods Employee Bonus Program. For this fiscal year, your annual maximum bonus potential is up to 12% of your annualized base salary. All bonus payments are prorated based on your hire date. Under this Program, bonus payouts are dependent upon the financial performance of the company.

Working Conditions:

This position is primarily located in an office environment, however, may occasionally be exposed to wet and varying temperature conditions between 60-100 degrees Fahrenheit, loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles, and allergens including soy, milk, and milk by-products and fumes from food processing equipment.
