If you need any accommodations throughout the interview process and beyond, please let us know.The Technical Analyst will interact with internal and external client groups, including business stakeholders, management, IT specialists and vendors. This role will have a special focus on API development and implementation and requires a high degree of collaboration while working on concurrent change initiatives. Strong competencies are needed in all stages of business analysis; including project management from the investigation of business requirements to the successful implementation of system and process changes.Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the management, growth and testing of API based automation;
  • Work with business sponsors to capture and identify opportunities for process improvements;
  • Identify and document problem statements, impact assessments, success factors, constraints and potential risks associated with the initiation of a project;
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process analysis, use cases or user stories, task and workflow analysis;
  • Write requirements specifications for internal and external development teams; utilizing standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly and concisely;
  • Perform requirements analysis and verification to ensure requirement statements are complete, consistent, traceable, feasible, verifiable and that they conform to standards;
  • Coordinate requirements validation activities to confirm that a solution based on the documented requirements will meet the business needs and achieve the identified objectives;
  • Prepare test plans and document test scripts for validating that developed solutions accurately address identified requirements;
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including operations manuals, service level agreements, and team knowledge bases;
  • Capture and document operations transition plans for post-implementation of a solution;
  • Become familiar with various Canaccord Genuity business unit processes and applications for the purpose of providing recommendations of potential improvements and/or provide assistance to IT Operations with application issue resolution;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5 to 7 years of business analysis experience in the financial services industry;
  • Post-secondary education/certification in business-related and technical disciplines;
  • Skilled in business process redesign, with complex business models and technology;
  • Experience working with APIs;
  • Experience with Postman preferred;
  • High proficiency with MS Office applications;
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp abstract concepts;
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment, with the ability to set and meet deadlines while working on multiple projects at a time;
  • Software development background is an asset;
  • Experience with Dataphile an asset.

This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. You will also look for new technologies to optimize business processes and play a pivotal role in ensuring IT’s understanding of business requirements and solution implementation, as needed.  As an SME, you will also provide tier two support for various applications used by the business.<p><br><strong>Major Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Meeting with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identifying and resolving systems issues.</li><li>Leading design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.</li><li>Reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and developing strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.</li><li>Identifying and establishing scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.</li><li>Providing friendly and helpful customer service as first point of contact for application support requests. Requires interaction with users via telephone, remote support tools, and direct desk-side assistance. </li><li>Reviewing, analyzing and presenting end user change requests to the Application Manager for prioritization.</li><li>In accordance with the Solution Development Life Cycle, gathering detailed requirements, making system changes, testing, documenting and training staff on minor changes to Dynamics 365 based applications under supervision of the Senior Analyst or Manager. </li><li>Maintaining accurate records of completed and pending requests using the Service Desk ticketing system and other Application team specific documentation repositories.</li><li>Taking ownership over assigned operational processes within the application team including; regular CRM license review, regression testing post Microsoft updates, refresher training delivery and content updates, new employee application training.</li><li>Participating in application projects as a member of the IT application team. Responsibilities could include one or more of requirements gathering and documentation, configuration changes, test plan development, QA testing, end user training development and delivery.</li><li>Identifying root causes of issues and recommending and/or implementing continuous improvements to IT applications processes and systems.</li><li>Staying current with advancements in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Sharepoint and other O365 solutions in order to educate users and IT peers on new capabilities, tips and tricks to improve our users’ IT experience and productivity.
