Kemper is growing! We are seeking experienced Business Systems Analysts for our downtown Birmingham, AL office. The Business Systems Analyst 2 participates in the analysis of business requirements, documents system workflows and use cases and identifies opportunities for process improvements and recommendations.
Also, supports change management activities and supports application configuration. Prepares materials in advance of meetings (e.g., design sessions, testing sessions), facilitates meetings and documents meeting minutes. Must be well organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and reliable. Effective written and verbal communications skills.
Serve as a Business Systems Analyst across projects.
Participate in the analysis of business requirements.
Document system workflows and use cases. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommendations.
Develop functional design documents and align with technical design documents.
Outline high level application testing and support user acceptance testing.
Support change management activities; such as:
i. Training (e.g., training plans and materials, training sessions).
ii. Documentation support (e.g., operational procedures, troubleshooting guides).
iii. Production readiness activities (e.g., war room, deployment support and checkout, customer support).
i. Participate in analysis, design, implementation and testing of configuration.
ii. Knowledge of systems development lifecycle activities.
Preparation of materials in advance of meetings (e.g., design sessions, testing sessions), facilitates meetings and documents meeting minutes.
Maintains knowledge of business functionality and technical platforms as business climate and technology platforms evolve.
Performs procedural duties within standardized practices, where applicable.
Complies with and supports all corporate, department and security policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
1+ Years of Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Basic knowledge of insurance industry or a related financial services industry.
