The Business Systems Analysis Professional 2 performs analysis of business, process and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis and translation into proper system requirement specifications. The Business Systems Analysis Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Business Systems Analysis Professional 2 formulates and defines systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Validates benefits achieved from solution implementation. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Operate as a liaison between the business and IT by providing guidance throughout project life cycle. The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for configuration of systems, requirements documentation, artifact creation and maintenance, system testing and providing consultative services to end users.
Analyze requirements and complete necessary configuration within systems
Create vision and scope documentation to support projects
Guide and elicit business requirements
Participate in the evaluation of new and existing technologies
Identify and define stakeholders given project scope and collaborate with project team on requirement elicitation plan
Guide Business Operations in requirement needs and serve as subject matter experts on both the system and processes.
Test and implement applications and provide end-user support to drive the adoption of technology and applications.
Support Operations as a subject matter expert of system and processes.
Prior experience working in a physician practice setting
Experience eliciting and defining business requirements
Experience developing and executing test cases
Experience in problem analysis and process
Experience with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to critically evaluate business issues and offer solutions
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
Prior work history in a fast paced shared support organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel 15% based business need to varying business locations within U.S.
Problem solving and consultation within complex environments
Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation
Working knowledge of eClinicalWorks
Experience configuring eClinicalWorks
Familiarity with Humana's IT processes
