Requirements

Required/Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience working with software development life cycles, including Waterfall and Agile as a Business Analyst (Required 7 Years)
  • Experience with Microsoft suite products (World, Power Point, Excel) (Required 7 Years)
  • Experience with Visio or equivalent tools (Required 7 Years)
  • Experience in developing business requirements, functional specifications and user manuals for medium to large sized projects (Required 7 Years)
  • Prior experience interviewing user community
  • Prior experience interviewing user community
  • An documenting needs of the client (Required 7 Years)
  • Experience in requirements elicitation, translation to functional design, test planning, and user documentation processes (Required 7 Years)
  • Experience in developing and documenting business and system process flows (Required 7 Years)
  • Current or recent experience working as a BA on application development projects (Required 5 Years)
  • Prior experience working as a BA for 4-5 projects simultaneously (Required 5 Years)
  • Prior experience working with UML Modeling for Agile and BRD/FRD Creation in Waterfall (Required 5 Years)
  • Proficient in creating and executing system functional unit test cases and documenting test results
  • Experience working with Government Agencies (State/Federal) (Desired 1 Years)
Strong verbal and written communication skills

VIEW JOBS 5/1/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-07-30T00:00 Overview The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting the business requirements, processes and workflows to ensure the software applications developed meet the business needs. They are also responsible for translating requirements to functional specifications for the developers,as well as participates in testing and launch. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Identifies, gathers and understands business needs, processes, and requirements from business stakeholders. Facilitates the analysis of requirements, and estimates effort. * Facilitates design requirements meetings with product and business owners. * Effectively documents requirements and maintains document repositories. * Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications. * Participates in product demonstrations with product and business owners. * Works with developers to ensure they are following processes and standards. * Collaborates with team to assist in development of test case strategy and execution of User Acceptance Testing * Acting as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management or end users, and the software development and systems teams. * Analyzing and communicating stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements. * Documenting and evaluating required data and information. * Using modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through to enhance project success. * Developing specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow * Recommends and helps implement new systems, procedures, or changes * Look for opportunities to improve or implement processes to improve productivity, quality, and performance for the team. * In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making * Testing: Write UAT scripts; perform functionality testing & co-ordinate end-user testing * Suggest use of CRM workflow technology to automate business processes * Promotes teamwork and communication to encourage an interactive, cooperative, collaborative and customer focused work environment among division, EDA staff and external customers. * Must complete annual and semiannual self-assessment as required. * Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills and Abilities * Strong oral and written communication skills * Analytical thinking and problem- solving skills * Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy * Strong customer service orientation * In-depth knowledge of Windows office systems * Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives * Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with people from many different disciplines. Should have excellent organization skills with a self-starter mentality and resourceful in solving problems to ensure teams have what they need to deliver * Experience working with Azure DevOps * Experience with UI / UX design to display visual requirements and concepts * Certifications and additional training preferred, in fields such as: Agile, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Analysis, Project Management * A strong understanding and demonstrable skill set with managing project scope, analysis & requirements definition, as well task definition within a project plan. Experience leading projects using waterfall or agile methodology are both equally relevant and desired. * Strong business expertise, keen understanding of CRM solutions for business needs, and an ability to align functional solutions to an organization's needs * Ability to communicate complex business information to technical audiences and complex technical information to business audiences. * Ability to manage user-facing communication, to facilitate meetings and capture and distribute action items * Proficient in Microsoft O365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, One Drive, Exchange * Lead and manage user acceptance testing cycles and conduct end user training sessions. * Ability to work outside of the normal business hours * Ability to prioritize workload, must be highly organized, detail-oriented, handle various tasks simultaneously and work independently within limited time constraints with little or no supervision * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; proficient in grammar, spelling and editing; and foster communications with business professionals and EDA staff * Must be able to maintain confidentiality and deal effectively and diplomatically with business professionals and EDA staff * Demonstrates respectful behavior and promotes teamwork and communication to encourage an interactive, cooperative, collaborative and customer focused work environment among division, EDA staff and external customers Required Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements * Bachelors' degree in the field of business administration, finance, or information systems * 7+ years of BA experience delivering software implementations and supporting / maintaining software in a business analysis role * 5 or more years implementing CRM solutions and projects. 2+ years should be in a client facing role where you defined the functional solution to be implemented Advanced degree or industry specific certification may be substituted for 1 year of experience Physical Demands * Minimal * Ability to work outside normal business hours, as needed Travel * As necessary to events, meetings, businesses, etc. Certificates and Licenses Required * Valid driver's license Note The examples of work for this title are for illustrative purposes only.
