  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and translate those to functional/non-functional requirements and user stories; and maintain the documentation for these requirements.
  • Identify the current AS-is and future state of the application based on the changes in the business processes and needs, whether related to smaller application maintenance, changes to interfaces, or on work on a full-scale replacement application.
  • Write and analyze complex business and data requirements over various applications
  • Complete application testing and documentation, and work with developers and LOB to record defects in HP ALM, and manage defect resolution for each release.
  • Communicate results, findings, and other project related information in sound and clear/concise written communication or verbal communication. Be comfortable presenting findings to a larger audience.
  • Write and document complex queries in the SQL querying language, with a firm understanding of the underlying data, and the relationships between fields in the database
  • Develop a solid understanding of the business processes and key terms and business functions in order to actively engage LOB members, Technical members, and data analysts.
  • Analyze multiple system data sets and providing summary of findings, including explanation of the variances and root cause, and effectively communicate the impact of the LOB members.

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) works as a liaison among the stakeholders and advocates for stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, manage and validate requirements for the creation of new or modification of existing processes, programs, products, policies and information systems. As the voice of stakeholders, the BSA understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the proposed initiatives and helps stakeholders define requirements for solutions that meet business needs, goals, and objectives. As a Business Systems Analyst you can look forward to: * Requirements Elicitation and Analysis - Identifies stakeholders and facilitates discussions or workshops with the purpose of eliciting and understanding stakeholder needs, requirements, and priorities. Further develops features and requirements into a fully-formed project vision that describes the needs, features, constraints, and scope of a project. Presents and gains acceptance of the Features, Requirements, and Vision and manages change through the project lifecycle. For non-project work, engages appropriate parties to facilitate the identification of problem and root cause, and facilitates problem-solving. * User Story / Use Case Creation - Working from the features and needs defined by the project vision, identifies User Stories, Task, and Use Cases that describe the scope of the project. Structures and diagrams the resulting Use Case Model, as needed. Identifies all alternate and exception flows and defines detailed behaviors of the system. Presents and gains acceptance of the User Stories and manages change through the project lifecycle. Works with development teams to continue to define requirements into meaningful delivery units. * Product Design - Formulates the software specifications that implement the behaviors described by the Project features and User Stories. Documents the software specifications completely and unambiguously, satisfying the needs of development, quality assurance, and other internal customers and stakeholders. Presents and gains acceptance of specifications and manages change through the project lifecycle. * Features and Requirements Traceability - From project vision through product delivery, facilitates and maintains requirements traceability. Also participates in acceptance testing tasks to confirm that the coded product successfully implements the software specifications. * Requirements Verification and Validation - From the baselined requirements create business level user acceptance criteria for each feature. Participate in the creation and review of quality test case strategy and test planning activities Basic Qualifications for Consideration: * Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent professional experience. * Minimum 5-7 years' experience is required in Business Analysis, Project Management, Engineering, * Experience with Jira * Experience with Clarity * Ability to manage time and multi task on multiple projects in a fast paced dynamic environment * Familiarity with use of Use Cases as requirements gathering/analysis tool * Proven analytical skills, problem solving, and critical thinking skills * Strong grasp of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio. Preferred Qualifications for Consideration: * Banking and Payments experience preferred * Experience in an Agile environment * Meeting Facilitation - Identifies appropriate participants and manages meeting planning and logistics. Facilitates creation of and enforcement of ground rules.
