Voya Financial is seeking a Business Support Specialist for our Employee Benefits Insurance Operations team in our Minneapolis Office. The role of the Business Specialist is to provide basic level support within the Employee Benefits insurance industry related to direct bill customer accounts and loan accounts by partnering with value stream partners to provide business, product and process knowledge to process simple client changes and/or money movement requests in order to provide our customers with an excellent experience.
Process low to moderately complex work item tasks related to client changes and money movement
Provide basic support to offshore Policy Maintenance partners
Provide support as required regarding operational/business/financial audit activity
Adhere to Service Level Agreements
Effectively communicate status and completion of production activities
Review customer documentation and forms for completion and accuracy
Manage incoming workflow with the ability to re prioritize daily tasks as business needs shift
Participate in root cause problem solving initiatives
Review and take action on simple errors identified in accounting ledger to clear suspense
Partner effectively as required on work items impacting other departments and follow up as necessary to completion
Participate in Continuous Improvement project opportunities
Recommend opportunities for process standardization, automation and alternative sourcing strategies/support

Knowledge & Experience
College degree or equivalent work experience
0 - 2 years prior experience in an environment that requires analytical and communication skills
Previous experience participating in process or system improvement projects.
Moderate level of experience with Microsoft Office applications
