Job Description

  • The Business Support specialist II performs a variety of independent, specialized business support duties for the assigned department or office.

  • Executes, documents and reports on business and fiscal operations.

  • Understands how the team integrates with others to accomplish team objectives.

  • Researches information, collects data, and prepares analyses/reports (e.g., data, budget, billing, purchasing), as assigned.

  • Completes routine tasks and assignments.

  • Provides solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures.

  • Impacts the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the team.

  • Explains information to and within the team, noting improvements, efficiencies, anomalies, etc. to manager/supervisor and/or appropriate team member.

  • Serves as a liaison inside and outside the team when resolving routine matters.

  • Understands and follows University of Missouri System financial policies.

Shift

40 Hours / Per Week. M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Minimum Qualifications

An associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, experience in Accounts Receivable, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and PeopleSoft

Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.

Hiring Range: $18.00 - $19.38 per hour

Grade: GGS-07
