Job Description:

The Business Support Manager (BSM) will report to the NYC Local Market Exec and will be responsible for supporting the teams in executing the local market strategies across New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Miami. The BSM will focus on managing both daily operations as well the execution of strategic initiatives for the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic thinking as to how best deliver results with an operational excellence lens

  • Leads, coordinates and manages presentation support, both routine and ad hoc

  • Manages projects from conception to delivery

  • Liaises with key leaders to ensure initiative are proceeding as planned and proactively anticipates or addresses risks

  • Coordinates logistics, agenda, materials and follow up items for various meetings and events

  • Supports internal and external communications by preparing invitations, employee communications, newsletters, talking points and social media content

  • Drafts senior level communications around key initiatives with clear next steps

  • Prepares executives for critical communications such as deep dives, business reviews, and town halls

  • Manages research and centralized storage of documents, resources and support materials

  • Serve as expert on compliance deadlines and guidelines; i.e. up to date on all risk and compliance efforts

Required Skills:

  • Previous relevant experience in business support management /operations function

  • Strong process management and demonstrated ability to document and audit

  • Recent relatable experience working on change management and engagement initiatives

  • Analytical experience preferably in a high matrix environment

  • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input and when to act independently

  • Ability to plan and facilitate cross-functional discussions, bringing multiple stakeholders together, directly address issues to reach consensus and decisions and drive outcomes

  • Advanced proficiency in creating decks (Power Point) and working with Excel (proficiency with pivots, macros, etc.) for executive presentations with the ability to synthesize an audience specific message

  • Advanced experience utilizing communications tools such as newsletters, websites, Share Point sites, shared drives, social media

  • Previous experiences in event management, process management, support of a senior leader with C-Suite activity/engagement

  • Ability to crisply define and communicate concepts and tailor messaging to audiences appropriately

  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours for various events and travel as needed

  • Ability to flex between strategic and tactical including developing milestones and actions to accomplish strategic goals

In collaboration with senior team members, AC’s help to define engagements, build work plans, and develop robust and valuable conclusions and recommendations for our clients.</p><p>A successful AC will be a high-energy individual that is able to interact with all levels of project and client teams, provide meaningful and timely analysis, develop valuable results and manage distinct aspect of client projects.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul> <li>Perform assigned tasks on billable client projects with a core focus on Global Pricing &amp; Market Access</li> <li>Lead and execute discrete research efforts including primary and secondary research needed for projects</li> </ul><ul> <li>Conduct qualitative research through desktop research and interviews with KOLs, physicians, providers, payors and industry knowledge experts to obtain insights and data relevant to client engagements</li> <li>Perform quantitative analysis (i.e. financial modeling, data manipulation) to develop accurate forecasts (e.g. sales or dosage projections)</li> <li>Synthesize large amounts of data into discrete stories and assumptions to determine the “so-what” for clients</li> <li>Produce quality client deliverables including PowerPoint presentations, reports, white papers, etc.</li> <li>Engage on multiple client projects, effectively manage time commitments and assume greater leadership and project management responsibilities as you gain more experience</li> <li>Support senior team members in business development efforts including greenfield research and developing proposals and pitch books</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development through trainings and/or unstructured sessions</li> <li>Contribute to the social environment by executing assigned firm-building activities and assisting with recruiting top talent</li> <li>Travel to/from client sites when required, including international travel</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>BA/BS in a life science, business or related field; MS/PhD would be a plus</li> <li>1 to 3 years of experience in the life sciences or healthcare industries, preferably within a consultancy or pharma/biotech company</li> <li><i>Experience with Global Pricing &amp; Market Access (i.e. ex US) is required (those with mainly US experience but some global exposure will be considered)</i></li> <li>Comfortable performing both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including primary and secondary research</li> <li>Exceptional project and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and work demands at the same time</li> <li>Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Experienced with all Microsoft Office products is critical, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook </li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Decision Resources Group offers a competitive compensation package and medical, dental and life insurance programs from first day of employment.
