Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. The Business Support Consultant will serve as a member of the CIB Reporting and Analytics team, which is responsible for delivering pipeline, customer relationship, and financial reporting, currently used by Investment Banking and Capital Markets that is undergoing expansion to support all of Corporate and Investment Banking. Primary responsibilities include (i) Consulting with management and business partners to drive the modernization and streamlining of our Business Intelligence platform; (ii) collaborating with business users and technology to identify, document, and implement enhancements to existing data feeds, as well as new data feeds to support the needs of Corporate & Investment Banking; (iii) serving as a liaison between business users and Technology to develop data requirements and flows and ensure current and future reporting needs are met; and (iv) driving the implementation of tactical and strategic projects focused on enhancing banker productivity, operational efficiency and data quality improvement within CIB by providing detailed and accurate metrics. Secondary responsibilities will include developing communications with business and technology users on the roll-out of enhancements to the Oracle BI platform. Additionally, the role requires presenting to senior leaders on business performance and recommends strategies to implement changes and improvements to data flows that support the BI platform.
Working under the direction of the CIB Reporting and Analytics Business Owner, this individual will do the following:
Cross-team coordination of business and technical resources to ensure successful project and enhancement delivery.
Work with business leadership to understand data requirements and translate requirements into a technology and process design in Oracle BI.
Participate and oversee User Acceptance Testing related to efforts as needed.
Manage, prioritize and lead a complement of diverse tactical projects with emphasis on data flows to support expanding the data mart to serve the needs of the larger Corporate and Investment Banking business.
Perform ad-hoc data analysis as needed to support project activity. Work closely with other CIB COO Team members to gather requirements and data metrics to support efforts.
Effectively communicate with business partners as it relates to project progress, health and status.
Document processes and data flows as well as articulate impacts to the existing data mart.
Develop data quality checks, including reports and dashboards to ensure data flows are complete and accurate.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with business and technology partners.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, accounting, finance, or other business related field
5+ years of strategic planning and development experience
3+ years of business intelligence experience
Knowledge and understanding of financial services or investment banking operations
Knowledge and understanding of Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) platform, systems and applications
OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) experience
Knowledge and understanding of data flow diagrams
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of data warehouse or data mart concepts
Strong presentation skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
Other Desired Qualifications
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
NC-Charlotte: Min: $65,700 Mid: $92,500
