Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) businesses build enduring client relationships through sound, thoughtful and objective advice. We help our clients by developing individualized plans for everything from retirement goals to business succession planning, to family legacy intentions. Services include comprehensive planning and advice, investment management, brokerage, private banking, estate planning strategies, trust, insurance and both individual and institutional retirement.

The Trade Processing department provides trading support for Financial Advisors and Client Associates by the processing of order rejects, trade corrections, balancing facilitation accounts, maintaining the open order file, resolving comparison breaks, processing managed allocations and business traded away from the firm. Trade Processing is responsible for regulatory trade reporting, including Order Audit Trail System (OATS), Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine (TRACE) and Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) to ensure timely and accurate reporting to governing bodies (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), MSRB, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The department maintains the firm's security master file by adding and updating security information and pricing securities that our vendors do not price.

The Business Support Associate provides support for a variety of diverse support functions and/or operations/production oversight for multiple departments within Trade Processing or within WFA Services and Operations. These activities may include: regulatory/compliance matters, business continuity planning, regulatory responses, change communications, reporting/analysis, tracking of policy/procedure adherence, etc.; Assists with the administration of programs, projects or processes specific to the business and maintains spreadsheets or databases to monitor departmental information. Coordinates and monitors implementation and maintenance of processes, procedures, and policies. Prepares correspondence; memorandum; reports; presentations or other assigned documentation. May participate in special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services; or a BS/BA degree or higher
  • 1+ year of testing or quality assurance experience
  • 1+ year of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
  • 1+ years of project implementation experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ year of brokerage industry experience

  • Ability to facilitate team meetings or present information to an audience

  • Ability to identify and present processes/operational enhancements

  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills

  • Ability to research, compile, and perform complex analysis on critical operational data

  • Business analysis exposure; preferably within a Wells Fargo operational group

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of database administration, creation, and data mining

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to identify and correct errors within a limited window of time

  • Experience with Beta and/or regulatory bodies
