The Business Strategy Intern will be tasked in assisting in procurement spend analysis and process optimization for ETRADE's Procurement Analysis and Vendor Management Team. In this role, you will be pivotal in helping ETRADE transform to a process and data driven organization. The Business Strategy Intern will collaborate and build relationships with colleagues in different functional areas to deliver solutions that have an impact on the E*TRADE's bottom line.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analysis

  • Assist in developing efficient and effective methods to collect and analyze data

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing spend data as needed to capture current state spend profile, assisting with detailed spend analysis recommendations to the Sourcing Managers

  • Work closely with team members and business partners to interpret the data and develop / implement solutions that capture value for E*TRADE

  • Perform financial analysis to support the case for spend analysis recommendations (e.g. business case analysis)

  • Assist with preparation of management-level presentations based on analyses

Process and Technology

  • Provide day to day support of the Third Party Intake SharePoint application and workflows

  • Assist with enhancements across SharePoint application and workflows within the team

  • Document end user requirements and validate proposed solutions meets business requirements

  • Document system defects, using a bug tracking sheet and report defects to management

  • Communicate enhancements to team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Business, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management majors are encouraged to apply

  • Junior with expected Graduation of Fall 2019 or Spring 2020

  • Minimum GPA 3.0

PREFERRED:

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of Excel

  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word
