A Business Solutions Lead Architect is a leadership position that partners with key stakeholders in the organization to create leading edge, well-defined technology plans and solutions that are aligned to Lennox IT and Business Strategy. This role will focus on Engineering Design Applications, PLM, CAD, Integration between PLM and ERP, and various engineering simulation platforms that are either custom developed or packaged applications. A background in PLM systems such as PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, or Oracle AGILE is a must have. So also is experience in developing or supporting engineering applications such as CAD, FEA, CFD, configure to order systems, etc.
Contributes to technology roadmaps in collaboration with enterprise-wide stakeholders
Leads discussions with stakeholders to identify challenges, opportunities and gaps in the business process and helps build technology strategy to address them
Documents the "as-is" business process and uses business process reengineering techniques to identify and unclog process bottlenecks
Defines business use cases that support operational business initiatives
Experiments with new technologies/applications to meet business use cases
Conducts hands-on proof-of-concepts (POC) to meet the business use cases
Identifies and communicates risks (business, application, technical) associated with component or application implementation at the business level and enterprise level
Develops an understanding of market positioning, visioning and solution value add
Responsible for devising solutions, solution architecture descriptions, and subsequent monitoring and governance of their implementation
Translates business objectives and processes into a conceptual architecture that describes key functional and non-functional requirements
Works with Enterprise and Application Architects to ensure business process is considered during technical design
Accountable for quality of the solution through the SDLC process
Oversees development of solutions by onshore or offshore resources; provides technical coaching and mentorship of resources
Keeps stakeholders informed and manages expectations of projects
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Wide-ranging experience and advanced knowledge in the following areas: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Bill of Material (BOM) Management
An implementation background in PDM/PLM platforms
Experience in 3D modeling, CAD support, API keys and front end coding is desirable.
Programming: C++, Visual Basic, ASP.NET, or Java
Previous experience as an Applications Support Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, or PLM/CAD application administrator is desirable
Broad knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of application technologies, platforms, and tools including web-based systems, databases, middleware/integration technologies, security, and infrastructure.
Exploration of new technology and trends with particular emphasis on the engineering domain
Proven track record of building technical and business relationships with managers and directors
Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through
Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and external resources, where and when needed, to do what's right for the customer and for the organization
