BUSINESS SERVICES SPECIALIST (Building Codes): Records billings and payments in licensing and taxation receivable system; balances and reconciles assigned accounts by comparing and analyzing appropriate reports; conducts daily count of deposits; verifies deposit for accuracy; and verifies account numbers and codes for monies entered into the system. Assists customers and County departments with questions such as licensing processes and fees and conducts upfront and multi-year audits to verify businesses are reporting the correct gross amounts.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree and one (1) year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Accreditation of Business License (ABL) within three (3) years of hire
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
Notary Public is preferred
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment.
