Position Overview

The Business Services Representative provides an exceptional service experience for SELCO Community Credit Union's business members and internal team members and performs duties to support SELCO's business services.

Essential Functions

  • Build and develop business member relationships by asking open-ended questions, identifying member needs, and promoting and cross-selling SELCO's products and services.

  • Assist members with account opening, determining appropriate products and services, answering questions, and offering solutions.

  • Provide assistance to branch team members and Commercial & Business Banking associates that includes acting as a resource and assisting business members.

  • Perform a variety of tasks pertaining to account setup and maintenance, check orders, card ordering, and notary services, etc. Provide back up support for cash management services including but not limited to implementing and providing ongoing maintenance of cashmanagement products and services (i.e. account analysis, online and mobile banking, remote deposit, ACH origination, and wire transfers) along with performing other duties as needed.

  • Assist with existing business member relationship reviews, exception pricing annual reviews, product suitability and risk rating as needed.

  • Participate in sales calls, preparation of proposals, and onboarding new business members and services.

  • Prepare reports and assist with business services projects, special assignments, and initiatives.

  • Work with a high level of accuracy and efficiency while performing service for new and existing business members and assisting team members.

  • Demonstrate leadership skills and uphold SELCO's mission statement, corporate values, service promises, and exceptional customer service standards.

  • Adhere to federal and state regulations, Credit Union policies, confidentiality requirements, and other compliance obligations.

  • Consistently achieve individual performance goals and contribute toward organizational objectives.

  • Detect, take action, and report potential fraudulent activity to protect the member and SELCO from losses.

  • Attend and actively participate in required meetings and trainings.

  • Adapt to change to accomplish SELCO's goals and objectives.

  • Research, resolve and/or report issues and potential problems to management and/or other business units.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

The position requires the following:

  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to effectively cross-sell SELCO's products and services.

  • Outstanding professional communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing including through electronic channels.

  • Good interpersonal skills that enable working independently and as part of a team with others at all organizational levels.

  • Ability to apply knowledge acquired through job training and self-study of procedures and updates.

  • Sophisticated computer and software application skills, including Microsoft Office and other business systems.

  • Understanding of business deposit accounts, transaction analysis, cash/treasury services with the ability to analyze business structure documents, bank statements and other legal documentation for establishing deposit accounts and other banking services.

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing consumer & business deposit practices.

  • Good time management and organizational skills with a high level of initiative, responsibility, and accountability, including the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.

  • Ability to work accurately with a close attention to detail.

  • Willingness and ability to receive, give, and assimilate coaching and feedback.

  • Strong problem resolution and prevention skills.

  • Ability to perform duties in an environment with background noise and complete tasks despite interruptions.

  • Work ethic that includes dependability, punctuality, and a professional appearance and demeanor.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and

  • At least two (2) years of business banking experience; and

  • Account opening experience preferred; and

  • Must be bondable.

Physical Demands

While performing the job duties, approximately 90% of the time is spent working at a desk, with the remaining time spent moving around work areas and away from the office. Frequent communication occurs in person, over the phone, and in writing. This position requires the ability to view a computer screen and interpret printed materials and other documents. This position requires an occasional need to stoop, kneel, or reach to access documents, equipment and supplies.

Interaction and Work Environment

Reports To: Vice President, Cash Management & Business Deposit Manager

Work areas are typically inside in a climate-controlled environment with background noise, distractions, and frequent interruptions; but, may include offsite visits to businesses and functions.

Work hours and location may vary to include and may include some evenings and weekends.

This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours. Req ID: 189006 JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the manager/supervisor, patients, dietitians and nursing staff to ensure diet accuracy for daily assembly and review of patient menu. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Process all diet orders (including tube feeding) received from nursing services in preparation for production, including entry of charges. May coordinate all food production information for kitchen staff. 2. Approve patient food request based on diet order and food availability. Determine needs of between meal nourishment and orders as needed. 3. Distribute appropriate menus for patients to select from. Assist patient with menu selections as needed. 4. Use approved computer charting methods to communicate clarification of individual patient needs related to food and to ensure meal tray accuracy and prompt delivery. 5. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: * Advanced education with emphasis on nutrition preferred. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: * Two years of related experience preferred. * Understanding of diet types and food textures preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: * May require Food Handlers Card. * May require BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
