The Business Services Representative provides an exceptional service experience for SELCO Community Credit Union's business members and internal team members and performs duties to support SELCO's business services.
Build and develop business member relationships by asking open-ended questions, identifying member needs, and promoting and cross-selling SELCO's products and services.
Assist members with account opening, determining appropriate products and services, answering questions, and offering solutions.
Provide assistance to branch team members and Commercial & Business Banking associates that includes acting as a resource and assisting business members.
Perform a variety of tasks pertaining to account setup and maintenance, check orders, card ordering, and notary services, etc. Provide back up support for cash management services including but not limited to implementing and providing ongoing maintenance of cashmanagement products and services (i.e. account analysis, online and mobile banking, remote deposit, ACH origination, and wire transfers) along with performing other duties as needed.
Assist with existing business member relationship reviews, exception pricing annual reviews, product suitability and risk rating as needed.
Participate in sales calls, preparation of proposals, and onboarding new business members and services.
Prepare reports and assist with business services projects, special assignments, and initiatives.
Work with a high level of accuracy and efficiency while performing service for new and existing business members and assisting team members.
Demonstrate leadership skills and uphold SELCO's mission statement, corporate values, service promises, and exceptional customer service standards.
Adhere to federal and state regulations, Credit Union policies, confidentiality requirements, and other compliance obligations.
Consistently achieve individual performance goals and contribute toward organizational objectives.
Detect, take action, and report potential fraudulent activity to protect the member and SELCO from losses.
Attend and actively participate in required meetings and trainings.
Adapt to change to accomplish SELCO's goals and objectives.
Research, resolve and/or report issues and potential problems to management and/or other business units.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of laws and regulations governing consumer & business deposit practices.
Good time management and organizational skills with a high level of initiative, responsibility, and accountability, including the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; and
At least two (2) years of business banking experience; and
Account opening experience preferred; and
Must be bondable.
While performing the job duties, approximately 90% of the time is spent working at a desk, with the remaining time spent moving around work areas and away from the office. Frequent communication occurs in person, over the phone, and in writing. This position requires the ability to view a computer screen and interpret printed materials and other documents. This position requires an occasional need to stoop, kneel, or reach to access documents, equipment and supplies.
Interaction and Work Environment
Reports To: Vice President, Cash Management & Business Deposit Manager
Work areas are typically inside in a climate-controlled environment with background noise, distractions, and frequent interruptions; but, may include offsite visits to businesses and functions.
Work hours and location may vary to include and may include some evenings and weekends.
