Business Services Coordinator STATUS: Full Time - 35 hours per week DIVISION:

Business Services REPORTS TO: Director of Business Services and VP of Finance SUPERVISES: N/A FLSA STATUS:

Non-Exempt POSITION DESCRIPTION The Business Services Coordinator position is responsible for various accounting and administrative duties in Business Services and Finance. This position will act primarily as the office coordinator and will provide additional support for purchasing, accounts receivable, collections and the Business Services and Finance management staff. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, staff and faculty in person, or via phone, text or email; Receipt payments to student accounts and all incoming cash to the college (donations, gifts, third party payments, etc.); Support the management staff of the department with special projects and tasks as needed; Complete administrative tasks such as completing office forms, organizing files, draft/edit letters and set meeting appointments; Processes the daily sales reports from the Bookstore and Imaging Center and reconciles them to the system; Tracks and enters all New Vendor requests; Assists with the College's collections efforts as the Student Accounts role needs; Distributes student refunds, reimbursements, and payroll checks; assists with unclaimed property escheatment processes; Prepares and mails Non-Sufficient Funds notifications when needed to customers; Rent and distribute locks for College owned lockers; prepare monthly account reconciliations; rotate locks on lockers annually; Cross-trained in Student Accounts functions; answering invoicing questions and sending monthly statements; Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration or related area preferred; or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and managing files and records and other office procedures at a proficient level; Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills; Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism; Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities; Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office and college campus environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to maintain a stationary position, use a computer and other office equipment, and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and virtually.

Frequent interaction with others, including staff, faculty, students and third parties is required. The employee may occasionally be required to move files or other objects weighing up to 25 pounds, including from low and high places. The ability to move around within the office and between buildings on campus, attend off-site meetings and events, and travel between Ford Campus site to Taubman Center site are required.
