Job Description and Duties

We are looking for a hard-working, team player who is interested in working in the California Department of Education's mail room.

Under the direct supervision of the Business Services Officer I (Supervisor), the incumbent is responsible for deliveries and picking up items from California Department of Education (CDE) locations, scanning in and distributing all incoming mail, receives all incoming deliveries, attends to the customer service counter, and all courier deliveries. Performs cubicle modifications including ergonomics, assists with moving and relocating various furniture such as tables, chairs, file cabinets, storage cabinets, record boxes for archive purposes, surplus property as assigned, and transport items to the warehouse. Responsible for the bike share program including facilitating training classes and serves as the back up for processing print tasks while operating digital printing equipment.

Working Conditions

IN OFFICE POSITION

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and requires the incumbent to report to the office five days a week. This position is not eligible for telework.
