Provide strategic business analysis services to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of key business drivers and objectives. This role is key to understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address current and future business challenges.

Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesGather user requirements and develop business cases for solutions, including ad-hoc analyses and self-service reporting tools by working with cross-functional teams and colleagues in the analytics COE

  • Conduct ad-hoc and routine analyses with appropriate communication to the users and requestors

  • Develop a comprehensive suite of standard and ad-hoc reports to support brand performance assessments / reports at the territory, region and brand levels. Collaborate with IT team to develop an efficient automated system to deliver reports seamlessly and efficiently to the users

  • Develop report mock-ups and data visualizations leading to better understanding on business problems and analytical insights

  • Uncover commercial opportunities / challenges at the territory, region and brand levels. Collaborate with all relevant functional areas to help quantify opportunities / challenges and develop action plans to realize the potential

  • Identify opportunities to improve the information delivery mechanisms through improved processes or application of superior technology

  • Collaborate with advanced data science, data quality, market research and other Analytics teams to deliver comprehensive analytical solutions to the businesses

  • Drive continued improvement of data quality management of the reporting systems used by Data and Analytics

  • Work closely with IT to ensure systems and technology roadmaps for analytic tools, processes and structures are aligned

  • Adopt advanced IT technologies and software solutions that are available in the market to perform highly technical simulations and analyses with the purpose of finding the answers that will best fit the ever-changing business models and processes

  • Drive efficiencies and a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of the COE team. Look for new and innovative ways to solve problems

Expected Areas of CompetenceHands on experience with reporting and analytics tools, such as SAS/Base programming, R, SQL, Excel, and VBA or similar; Tableau, Qlik, SAP HANA visualization tools or similar; good understanding of big data tools and technologies (AWS or Azure)

  • Solid understanding of data and data quality management and ability to spot and eliminate inaccuracies in data

  • Demonstrated knowledge of information systems and technologies / data warehousing / reporting systems to efficiently manage source data and extract for analytical purposes

  • Passion for delivering data and analyses that drive confidence from key stakeholders

  • Results-oriented, with a proven track record of business and technical problem solving

  • Ability to apply principles of logic and critical thinking to a wide range of complex business issues

  • Ability to work in a high functioning, fast-paced, global business environment with tight deadlines while balancing several on-going projects simultaneously

  • Rapid learning ability for new functional areas, new data, tools, techniques and methods

Education/Experience RequirementsBachelor degree in MIS, Computer Science, Economics, Business or related discipline

  • 5+ yrs. experience in med device/ pharmaceutical / biotechnology analytics positions

Includes providing data analytics, investor and analyst presentations, quarterly earnings call preparation, written communications to stakeholders, managing internal communications regarding IR deliverables and tracking the IR department budget and external sourcing relationships. Serves as the primary contact for the intake of buy-side and sell-side analyst inquiries and is responsible for the organization of quarterly earnings calls, IR conferences, non-deal roadshows and Investor/Analyst Days. This position includes flexibility to be primarily located at the Zimmer Biomet office in Warsaw, IN or Stamford, CT. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Track and analyze sell-side financial models and competitor financial performance, including the maintenance of the internal Market Model. * Monitor sell-side analyst reports and summarize and distribute to senior management. * Manage inbound inquiries to the investor relations department and track meeting follow-through. * Maintain a relationship with internal business leaders to ensure adequate IR support for inquiries, non-deal roadshows and company presentations. * Manage the tactical execution of the quarterly earnings process, including conference calls, follow-up calls, internal meetings, version control on internal documents and website postings. * Assist with the tracking of the IR department spending budget. * Participate in the review of all annual reports, SEC filings and proxy statements. * Assist in the creation of presentations, press releases and other communications for earnings, industry events and presentations to analysts and investors. * Coordinate site visits by analysts and investors. * Disseminate IR information on a monthly and daily basis to internal business partners.
