As a Business Risk & Resiliency Analyst for Group Benefits, you will support the Enterprise Risk Management team's execution of resiliency risk frameworks across the Group Benefits ("GB") business. This position is responsible for identifying and reporting key risks for GB, and assisting with development, maintenance and testing of resiliency plans. You will research, remediate, and document corrective actions, prepare, and facilitate regular risk reporting, and support the Head of Group Benefits Business Risk & Resiliency.
You will
Together with the Head of Group Benefits Business Risk & Resiliency, execute the resiliency risk program, assessing risk and controls for Group Benefits at the line of business and process levels
Coordinate annual update of the Business Impact Analysis for GB, maintain a comprehensive process inventory, assist with resiliency assessments, and control planning, and participate in resiliency plan testing
Identify and document risks in the Enterprise Risk Register, maintain remediation plans, support the resolution of audit and non-audit findings, and ensure accountability for GB risk remediation plans
Partner with the business and process owners to assess and identify risks, make recommendations for internal controls, and support the implementation of recommended changes
Support business testing for Disaster Recovery exercises led by IT and IT Risk, prepare business testing results and reporting for GB
Contribute to implementation and testing of tools and automation to support and enhance the resiliency risk program
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting around inventories, plans, assessments, and other analytic guidance to drive effective resilience practices and for presentation in accordance with risk governance structure
Support leadership in activities necessary to ensure business resiliency in the event of a disruptive event (weather, power loss, natural disaster, etc.).
Provide assistance and process owner support for IT annual review and maintenance of the Master Application List
You are
Self-motivated and able to perform with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrating initiative and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of discipline, urgency, and results orientation
An excellent communicator with solid relationship development skills and the ability to effectively interface with key stakeholders
Able to work collaboratively across the organization with a track record of embracing diversity
You have
3+ years' experience in risk management or internal audit, preferably with a background in insurance industry
Bachelor's Degree required
Experience in operational risk management control, experience completing operational risk assessments preferred
Broad operations knowledge and/or experience preferred
Reporting Relationships
As our Business Risk & Resiliency Analyst, you will report to our Head of Group Benefits Business Risk & Resiliency, who reports to our Head of Business Risk & Resiliency.
Location
Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 days WFH at any Guardian office location in Hudson Yards, NYC; Holmdel, NJ; Stamford, CT; Bethlehem PA or Pittsfield MA. We will consider remote candidates if experience is aligned.
Salary Range
$66,130.00 - $108,640.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
