Treasury's Risk and Controls (R&C) team is a global team that supports the Treasury teams in risk and controls execution. This is a newly expanded and centralized team with a global footprint. The R&C team is structured as a "hub-and-spoke" operating model. The Spokes are R&C experts and are aligned with particular risks (e.g., Capital, Liquidity, Interest Rate, etc.) or specific Treasury businesses. The Hub serves as the central coordination point across the Spokes to ensure global consistency, operating as a bridge between Treasury and peers in Finance and/or the broader enterprise. The Hub also operates as a Center of Excellence for certain control activities.

Working within the Treasury Risk and Controls team, a successful candidate will assist in defining, driving, and executing end-to-end control and governance process design and implementation efforts across Treasury activities as a First Line of Defense contributor. The position requires close partnership with subject matter experts and stakeholders within Treasury, across the Finance function, and with business partners, as well as extensive familiarity with risk, controls and compliance oversight and governance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Support Treasury CAO and businesses with meeting Issue Management requirements,
• Review policy documents relevant to the Treasury organization and building sustainable processes to manage policy breaches, waivers, and dispensations,
• Perform risk assessments and control analysis supporting a broad range of functions in a Citi Treasury environment; support conclusions in written/verbal form,
• Analyze existing end-to-end processes, seeking any opportunities to eliminate inefficiencies, streamline and reengineer workflows, and apply automated solutions to manual processes,
• Interact with peers, partners, and management to identify significant risks impacting business objectives and the control environment,
• Present findings/analysis, making recommendations clearly and concisely,
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal clients and colleagues,
• Meet commitments and balance competing priorities.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in Compliance/Risk Management, Internal Audit, and/or Program Management,
• Experience operating in a 1st or 2nd line of defense control environment is preferred,
• Strong project management and organizational skills,
• Relationship building and relationship management skills,
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills,
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SharePoint are required,
• Experience working with large data sets is preferred,
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
