ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manages a team of Business Service Officers who are responsible for servicing a growing client base of companies with revenue between $0-$3MM.

  • Partners with branch network to ensure small business clients are properly serviced, influencing processes, activities, and use of systems to ensure that they are efficient and client service oriented.

  • Coaches to the business banking value proposition and defined client experience; directs the team's service efforts to support a consistent, disciplined approach on servicing existing clients and onboarding new ones.

  • Proactively identifies and champions the resolution of small business client issues (internal and external), requiring leadership and interaction with clients (internal and external), products partners, support partners, and all levels of staff and senior leadership.

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services, as well as operational procedures.

  • Effectively oversees the maintenance and loan closing process to ensure compliance with loan approval and credit policy, integrity in documentation, combined with a consistent high level of client satisfaction.

  • Provide guidance and identification of SBA questions, steps and expectation timelines as well as the basic identification of and guidance on potential SBA credit opportunities.

  • Provide guidance and identification of real estate related questions, steps and expected time.

  • Fosters an environment for learning/best practice sharing and accountability; drives the performance and sustained success of the BRC team.

  • Creates a positive work environment, establishes high standards for work quality and provides opportunities for career growth in order to develop and retain a highly trained and motivated staff.

  • Establishes and tracks performance objectives for team members; manages and evaluates BRC BSOs performance to established objectives, differentiates performance and strives to ensure each BSO achieves their respective goals.

  • Actively serves as a member of the BRC Leadership Team.

  • Travels on a periodic basis to meet with team members not on site and to attend bank or educational meetings and events.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in a business related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years Management/Leadership experience with a strong understanding of commerical lending concepts and providing service to business customers.

  • Excellent knowledge of commerical loan documentation with proficiency in document preparation, closing and related client servicing.

  • Understanding and compliance to the BSA/AML program; strong grasp of applicable federal, state and compliance regulations.

  • Displays strong credit acumen.

  • Proven experience leading change.

  • Proven working experience of SBA programs and commercial real estate transactions.

  • Ability to establish and strengthen effective working relationships amongst team members and product and support partners.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong time management and organization skills.

  • PC proficiency, use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) as well as Lotus Notes.
